I-278 HOV Traffic Study, Staten Island
Project Location: Staten Island-Brooklyn, NY
Project Description: Conducted Vehicle Occupancy counts along I-278 to identify existing demand for an HOV along I-278 between the Richmond Road and the Verrazzano Bridge. The counts collected the number of occupants per vehicle per lane. In addition, occupancy counts were conducted at the Verrazzano Bridge toll plaza for westbound and eastbound traffic. The occupancy counts were supplemented with ATR counts installed along the expressway and adjoining ramps. Segments of the roadway currently have exclusive bus lanes but there are no HOV lanes for other motorists. The study was to assess the benefits of an HOV lane and determine the lower-bound occupants per vehicle to be accommodated on such a lane during the peak hours.
Town of Brookhaven Transportation Study

Project Description: Conducted TMC, visual imaging reconnaissance at 54 intersections.
Atlantic City Transportation Planning Study
Project Location: Atlantic City, New Jersey
Project Description: Installed 43 ATR machines for 2 weeks and conducted TMC at 25 intersections in Atlantic City.
Gowanus High Occupancy Lane/Toll Planning Study

Project Description: Conducted Vehicle Occupancy Counts with 18-person crew; 13-hour counts for 3 summer days.
Southern Staten Island (Outerbridge Crossing) Traffic Study
Project Location: Staten Island, NY
Project Description: Conducted OD-surveys by License Plate and Turning Movement Counts, 4 days a week for three (3) consecutive winter months in Staten Island as part of a study to redesign circulation and access to the Outerbridge Crossing and adjoining commercial land use developments. Installed ATR machines at 6 locations for the 3 months
New Jersey Turnpike Transportation Study

Project Description: TMC at 8 NJ turnpike ramps and 22 intersections
Hauppauge Industrial Park
Project Location: Hauppauge Industrial Park, Hauppauge, Suffolk County, NY
Project Description: Installed 40 Automatic Traffic Recorder (ATR) machines for 7 days and conducted turning movement counts (TMC) at 38 intersections.
