Victor Ochieng, PE brings unparalleled experience and qualification to traffic/transportation data collection having served in various capacities including project manager for several private and public transportation planning projects in the tri-state area. Prior to joining Traffic Databank as the Technical Manager, he was a licensed practicing traffic/transportation engineer with a leading consulting firm serving in various capacities including traffic township engineer as well as transportation system analyses, design and planning, and traffic impact studies, EIS and other studies for private and public clients located in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland.  Mr. Ochieng has also served as traffic engineering adjunct faculty at the City College of New York and taught PE review courses for transportation engineering at Polytechnic University, NY.  Mr. Ochieng’s role at Traffic Databank is technical management which includes design of data collection systems, data collection and quality control, and client service and management.

 

Traffic Databank currently has 6 full-time staff including 2 professional engineers, 2 senior technicians and 2 field supervisors, and more than 30 part-time staff serving our clients in the tri-state area. The staff utilize state of the art technologies owned by Traffic Databank including 25 Jamar Electronic Count Boards, more than 50 Automatic Traffic Recorders, 12 Dictaphones, digital cameras, measuring equipment and field lap top computers to conduct various traffic/transportation data collection, aggregation and dissemination.

Certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) by NYSUCP – Certified for traffic data collection & aggregation, origin-destination studies, traffic analyses and traffic impact studies. Eligible as a DBE on NYSDOT, Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority federally assisted projects.
